Pic(k) of the Week: Tie-dyed cask

Tie-dyed cask (01)

Resplendent in tie-dye, Jeff Forrest — beer and cheese monger at Whole Foods Market, near Tysons Corner, Virginia— taps a firkin (10.8-gallon cask) of Loose Cannon IPA (from Heavy Seas Brewing, of Baltimore, Maryland).

This was the first cask ever served in the store. "We're going to do it again," said Forrest, pleased with the results. Said another associate: "It was messy."

Fairfax, Virginia.
