(Bonus) Pic(k) of the Week: Brewster Fashion

Brewster fashion

Form and function.
Found 'still life.'

The boots and shoes of a brewster lie close to a brewhouse locker, at the Heavy Seas Brewery, in Halethorpe, Maryland, USA.

I took this photo in July 2013. It should have been a Pic(k) of the Week years ago. I'm making amends today.

-----more-----
  • Brewster is a Middle English word for female (and male!) brewer. Etymology via Martyn Cornell at Zythophile.

  • Pic(k) of the Week: one in a weekly series of images usually posted on Saturdays, occasionally (as is the case today) with a good fermentable as the subject.
  • Photo 51 of 52, for year 2021. I missed two posts this year. Thus, this is one of two (tardy) images to fill out the calendar. See it at Flickr: here.
  • Camera: Olympus Pen E-PL1.
    • Lens: Olympus M.14-42mm F3.5-5.6 II R
    • Settings: 34 mm | 1/15 sec | ISO 1600 | ƒ/5.1
