firkin Durham

The little car that could - my Toyota Corolla truck - will hit the 200,000 mile mark this weekend: beer trekking, beer hauling, beer selling. I'm driving to Durham, North Carolina. Riding shotgun is Steve Frank, one-half of the beer-writing Brews Brothers.

[Fuzzy math. She didn't hit that mark until the following Friday, 12 October.]

We're working the Clipper City booth at the World Beer Festival, the big bi-annual festival created and operated by Daniel Bradford and his crew at All About Beer Magazine. We'll be pouring draft Loose Cannon Hop3 Ale and Oxford Raspberry Wheat, and hand-pulling pints from firkins of Winter Storm Imperial ESB.

Didn't know a Corolla 4-door is a truck, you say? Ha! Three casks fit easily in the back seat, with room for two more in the trunk!
