Monk's Cafe reopens in Philly

After tragic loss of life in the building in which it sits at street level, famed Belgian-themed bistro Monk's Cafe has re-opened today in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. From beer blogger Jack Curtin:

Tom Peters [Monks Cafe proprietor] just called with word that Monk’s has just re-opened for business. “The front two rooms only,” he said, “the back bar will open next week.”

By golly, the world feels a bit brighter again.

Monk's CafeAmen!

The fatal accident had nothing to do with the restaurant but did occur in an upstairs dwelling. Monk's Cafe also has nothing to do with the fictitious New York City coffee shop in which many episodes of the Seinfeld television show took place.
